The Region

The region of Epanomi is placed on the slightly elevated hills of the Thermaikou peninsula, which divides the bay of Thessaloniki from the Thermaic Gulf and is surrounded by the beautiful Mediterranean Sea from the South, East and West. The Greek paradise of Chalkidiki is 30 miles to the east and a few miles to the west thrones Mount Olympus, home to the ancient Greek gods, impressively reigning the scenery. Combined with sandy loam soils, constantly blowing winds and an extraordinary micro-climate, this peninsula provides us with ideal conditions for cultivating our authentic wine varieties.

The Product

Wine is a product of nature and our philosophy has always honoured the importance of sustainable environment management and quality-oriented cultivation of vineyards. We emphasise on traditional vinification processes, combined with modern cellar equipment. Pruning, yield-control and harvest are solely carried out by hand, whilst manual canopy control prevents the occurrence of diseases and acidity (fruit sugar balance in the grapes). The winery is fitted with new stainless steel equipment and designed to ensure that almost all processes are accomplished by gravity feeding instead of pumping. In order to meet our quality standards, the annual yield is limited to average 3000L/ha.
